History
In December 2004 Stan Kuhl, a local developer and member of an original pioneering family, donated 4.7 ha of land worth almost $1 million (at the time) and entrusted it to the former Crows Nest Shire Council to be developed as a Botanic Parklands.
The gardens design was born from Stan's desire to promote global peace and is reminiscent of some of the great gardens he visited during his travels around the world. Stan was actively involved in the initial planning of the garden design and it was he who named the Park.
It was Stan's wish that "Peacehaven be a place of peace and tranquillity for generations to come."
