There is a network of walking tracks and good birdlife down by Perseverance Creek. No facilities.

Applegum Walk connects Hartmann Park and Bullocky's Rest, in a semicircle around the town centre. It provides a natural backdrop, and is a place of botanical significance.
Hartmann Park
An excellent display of banksias, teatrees and trigger plants in the heathland understory of the open forest. Picnic facilities, wood BBQ, toilets, walking track.
