Geham

Rich in history.

The heritage-listed Argyle Homestead is a fine example of colonial architecture visible from the highway. It was built by Duncan Munro in the 1870s. The Munro brothers established the Argyle Mill on Geham Creek in 1874 to mill the timber cut from the dense forest then flourishing along the escarpment.

An old well and hand operated water pump beside the New England Highway has been restored by the Lions Club of Highfields Northeast Downs.
