Compere for the Day: Gordon Patterson of Crow's Nest FM Radio 88.0

7:30 am. Fun Run from Pechey to Crow's Nest. This is the 50'h year since the running of the first race. Featuring the Con O'Connor Cup. Showering facilities after the race available at the swimming pool. Bus leaves the Crow's Nest Post Office at lam for the start at Pechey Forest Reserve. 11:30am Procession entrants gather at the Catholic Parish grounds

12:00 noon. The TELSTRA COUNTRYWIDE Grand Procession. $250 Best decorated float. $50 Best vintage vehicle. $50 Best decorated bike. $50 Best marching group. $50 Best individual costume. $50 Best horse entry. Pipe band. Motor cycle clubs. Theme: Celebrating Our Silver Anniversary

1 pm Worm racing for the young and the young at heart. Bring your own worm, or we can provide a trained one. Free entry. Certificates for all racers. Worms race over an 18 inch track. Thanks to Heritage Building Society. Free face painting begins in the Assembly of God tent.

1:15pm. Concert by the Caledonian Pipe Band.

1:45. Australian Crow Calling Championships. Adult and Child sections. Free entry. Trophies. Sponsored by Crow's Nest FM Radio.

2:15pm. Presentations by worm trainers and auction of worms racing in the 2006 Vermox Cup. Auctioneer: Joe Smith. Highest priced worm goes to charity. $200 cash prize to the Best Presentation by a Training Team sponsored by National Australia Bank.

3:00pm. Worm Race. The VERMOX Cup. World Championships. $200 first, $80 second. $30 third, $10 fourth.

3:30pm. King and Queen of the Nest. $100 cash for the winning couple sponsored by Rhonda's Refits

4:30 pm. Haystacking Competition. Teams of three. Age groups: 17 and under, 14 and under. Cash prizes. Free entry. Sponsored by QGAP - providing Qld Govt services at the CN Community Branch of Heritage.

5:30pm - 7:00 pm. Silver Anniversary Community Concert. Bring a chair or a blanket for the ground. Featuring local artists. Sound system provided for community use by Crow's Nest Community Branch of Heritage Building Society, and operated by Ray Collings.

Enjoy a Power Point presentation on the big screen presented by the Crow's Nest State School. Students will be taking digital photographs during the day.

The Lions Club Bar and BBQ is open until 7pm.
