Saturday 24th

Crows Nest Day. Procession, worm races, fun run , have-a-go at orienteering, stalls, entertainment, haystacking, Crow Calling, art, fireworks at 8pm,CN State School Scholarship class of 1949 reunion at Bullocky’s Rest, entertainment from Peter Gould from Cowboy Up Trail Riding. 9am – 9pm 4698 1119

During the Festival:

•    Three Hundred Years of Needlework. Display of hand embroidery – school samplers, bed & table linen, pictures, wearable art, baby clothes, doilies. Works from 1699 to the present. 10am-2pm daily in the old school room at Carbethon Folk Museum, Crow’s Nest.  46 982 030,  0448 419 669

•    Colouring Competition for the school children of the area. Entry forms at schools. Entries close Wednesday 14th October.

•    Scarecrows take up residence around the District! Make your own scarecrow and enter the competition or simply enjoy looking for them! Thanks to the Crow’s Nest Art Council. For entries and prizes. Entries close 14 October.

•    Keep up to date with the Festival. Collect the local newspaper The Advertiser on Tuesday, and listen to the local FM radio station 88.0

•    Call in to the Hampton Information for some self-drive tours – bird trail, tourist trails, national parks, 4WD trail, history walk

•    Visit Cooby, Perseverance or Cressbrook Dams

•    Local crafts available

•    Enjoy a meal in Crow’s Nest  - 6 eateries

•    Trail ride – Cowboy Up

•    Carbethon Folk Museum open all week – 10am-3pm
