Drives Print

1. Tourist Drive 2B is a 40 km loop off the New England Highway from the Hampton Visitor Information Centre. It goes via the Ravensbourne National Park,  Lake Cressbrook and Lake Perseverance, returning  to the Highway at Pechey (or you can take the short cut into Crows Nest).

 2. Walks, Water and Fragrance is a 54 km drive via the Ravensbourne National Park,  Lake Cressbrook and Lake Perseverance, then on to the Crows Nest Falls, and ending at the lavender farm.

3. Peace, Chocolate and Flowers is a 33 km drive past the Geham Well to the Chocolate Cottage, the Highfields Falls, Peacehaven Botanic Park, ending at the gardens of the Spring Bluff Railway Station and Cafe.

 4.  The Bird Trails of the Crows Nest Shire can be used as pleasant drives, visiting national parks, the three lakes and other places of interest.

 5. Soft 4WD Trails - for the more adventurous. Each drive follows gazetted roads or stock routes in the less visited areas of the shire.  Every trail has magnificent views that range from extensive panoramas to little known vistas glimpsed through stately stands of Ironbarks or Blue Gums. (Note: some of the roads are rough and/or steep.)

6. A long drive- the New England Highway from Yarraman to Maitland.
